The Wine
In 2006 Packwood’s little vineyard was established, fueled by passion or possibly madness, the vines are planted 330 metres above sea level at the top of the farm. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir cultivars produce unique wines and bubbly. The vineyard is nurtured with lots of TLC, sustainable practices are promoted as much as possible such as rain harvesting to ensure we complete our annual spray programs without turning on a tap, natural fertilisers, bio dynamic management and a wealth of farming knowledge going back 5 generations has given us the skills we need to ensure we have a symbiotic relationship with the vineyard.

The Wine Estate
Packwood is a small boutique wine estate in Harkerville – equidistant from Plettenberg Bay and Knysna, set within our working country estate it is ideal for those who like to get off the beaten track and do a bit of exploring, sip and savour our unique and authentic wines, stay a while longer and enjoy our homemade farmhouse cheese lunch served within beautiful surroundings in our small and relaxed luncheon venue.
On warm days wine tasting is served outside at the tasting area or on the lawn, a selection of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Blanc de noir, Pinot noir, Shiraz and bubbly when stock allows we sell out fast, so if you like it buy it. Choose your favorite wine for lunch and enjoy with a homemade cheese lunch, made from our own pasture fed jersey cows, the cheeses are creamy, fresh and delicately flavoured, served with home baked bread, preserves and a splash of salad from our garden, 100% sustainable. Melt into the beautiful views across our farm, with wine in hand and nature in abundance feel your stresses slip away. (please note we are not a restaurant)
