What is a cultivar?
It is the name given to a grape variety.
What cultivars do we have?
- Sauvignon Blanc – originates from Bordeaux in France
- Chardonnay – this variety originated from Burgundy in France
- Pinot Noir – originates from Burgundy
How old is the oldest cultivar?
The oldest grapevine dates back to Neolithic times 7000 years ago.
