Our spacious thatched country house with its old world charm, fabulous views across our farm, an abundance of nature, big skys and plenty of fresh air, the perfect destination for a great escape. Sympathetically restored and dotted with English antiques here you can disconnect from the world and re-connect with nature. Enjoy beautiful wines from our vineyard, fresh raw milk from the dairy and homemade cheese.
When the wild buck come to snooze by the pool you know you have found peace on earth.
Step gently, inhale deeply and open your eyes to the beauty of nature.
If you need some chill time with loved ones or friends, there is plenty of space to relax and unwind in this very comfortable home from home farmhouse. Putting the “treat” into Retreat, put your feet up and enjoy the fantastic vistas over the estate. With an abundance of birdlife and nature all around, from farmland to mountains and distant ocean views to pristine indigenous forests, this farmhouse provides a very relaxing home-from-home feeling. Spend lazy days by the pool, hike or bike through the pristine forest, snuggle up in front of the large log fires with a glass of Packwood .
A sunny terrace leading out from the dining room is an ideal space for relaxing and eating. Stretch out on the lawns in front of the house, and in the evening don’t forget to do a spot of star gazing the night skies are beautiful. Listen to the symphony of frogs, crickets, birds and even cows mooing in the distance. You will often hear a bark from a bush buck and all sorts of discussions from monkeys and baboons as they gather their family’s together for bedtime.
This year we are encouraging guests to DIY housekeeping to ensure a safer option for you and your loved ones under these difficult Covid times.
As a sustainable agricultural farming enterprise we encourage a green room policy. Towels are changed every three days and linen is changed once every 5 days. Please be diligent when using water it is our most precious commodity.
We also have a smaller farm cottage for rent.
