The Vineyard

In 2006 the start of Packwood’s little vineyard.

With a very similar climate to parts of Europe and New Zealand specifically for growing cool cultivar wine grapes, Packwood’s vineyard was born, located on a gentle rolling hill 330 metres above sea level.  Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot noir cultivars now produce award winning handcrafted wines and bubbly.  The vineyard is worked carefully and nurtured, working together with nature, using organic fertilizers our management program is  as close to biodynamic as possible, our wealth of farming knowledge going back 5 generations has taught us that we are only here as caretakers of the land and it is essential to hand it back in a better condition than we receive it.
